filling blank with condition

Hi..

say I have something like:

Test1 1
2
3
4
Test2 5
6
7
Test3 8
9
10

.. where Test1, Test2, and Test3 are in column A, and #1-10 in colum
B. Now, 1-4 belong to Test1, 5-7 to Test2, and 8-10 to Test3. Its jus
that only the first data corresponding to a "Test" has a "Testx" besid
it. The others are blank.

Now, how do I fill the blank space such that it would look like this:
Test1 1
Test1 2
Test1 3
Test1 4
Test2 5
Test2 6
Test2 7
Test3 8
Test3 9
Test3 10

Your input would be greatly appreciated. I have around 20K rows to d
this and its just not possible to do a click and drag.

Thanks!!

Hi
try the following
- select column A
- hit F5 and click 'Special'
- choose 'Blank cells' (or 'empty cells') and hit OK
- now enter the equation sign '='
- hit the upper arrow and then hit CTRL+ENTER
