filter by special character

How can i make a query that uses another query and only shows the
records where a specific field consists of only the character "$"?
It can be "$$" or "$$$$$" or another number of this character but only
with this character.
I tried with the operators IN and LIKE but i wasn't able to get it
right.
Can somebody help?
