Hi,
I want to create a Project Center view and add criteria based on a Custom
Enterprise Field which is not a Outline Code. Is this possible? as when I go
to the filter drop down list it only shows outline codes.
Here is what I want to do:
Custom field has three values Low,Medium, High.
I want to show only those projects which has 'High' value

Even if it is not possible, Please some one confirm.
any help will be truly appreciated.

When defining a Project Center view, you are limited in the view definition
to filtering on enterprise Project outline codes only. Because of the
benefits you would gain in the Portfolio Analyzer, I would recommend that
you remove the custom Project field and replace it with an enterprise
Project outline code field containing the three values (Low, Medium, and
High). You could then apply a Filter on this outline code when defining the
Project Center view, and in addition, you can use this outline code as a
dimension in custom Portfolio Analyzer views.

By the way, if you wish to remove the old custom enterprise Project field,
open the Enterprise Global, then click Tools - Organizer - Fields and delete
it. Hope this helps.

Hi Dale,
First of all thanks for this post. Here the twist is these are calculated
fields based on some formula so i cannot use outline code. Any work around?

I saw both of your new Project Server 2003 books they are great.

Based on what I have said previously, you won't be able to do what you want
with this field. Sorry.
