Filter Problem

I've just been given a project plan and when I apply filters - all it does is
mark the matching fields rather than hiding the non-matching - how do i
change this ?

It sounds like the last time a filter was applied, it was applied as a
Highlight filter. To correct this, do the following:

1. Click Project - Filtered for - More Filters
2. Select any filter and click the Apply button
3. Press F3 to reapply the All Tasks or All Resources filter
4. Save and close the project
