Filter & then print combo box?

I have a worksheet with a company structure, departments
and peoples names etc.
I need to insert a control on a work sheet that will first
filter according to user entered Criteria i.e Dept and
then print out the results.
Is a combo box the best choice for this function? My
knowledge of VBA is very limited so any ideas or
suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.
