Filtering an inbox by date

Brian Palan

Hello,

There is a user at my company who asked me if it would
be possible to create a rule in Outlook which would send
any email older than 3 days to a subfolder of his inbox.

Is it possible to create a rule to do this? Or, is
there another means of filtering email in this manner?
If anyone has any suggestions, they would be greatly
appreciated.

TIA,
Brian

No, not possible natively. You can probably achieve it by using some VBA.
Another way to go would be to use AutoArchive but this will place the mail
in a separate pst-file.

This is what AutoArchive is all about. It's not a subfolder of the Inbox,
but it accomplishes the ultimate goal of cleaning up your Inbox while still
allowing future access to the messages for historical purposes.
