Hello,
First, let me say sorry for the long post.
My question concerns Access 97. I have a Work Order DB
for the company. Everyone's Work Orders are stored in a
massive table. In each person's front end I have a form
that goes to a query. My query filters each department's
work orders out, so they see only their own, i.e. the
bridge department only sees transportation work orders.
Now, here's my problem. Since it is querying by
ProjectDepartment, it won't let me enter a value for the
department in a new form. So, if I try to enter 200-
Bridge in my new record, I get an error that says that my
ProjectDepartment field isn't bound to anything. So, in
my query I added a field called
ProjDept
rojectDepartment. Now, I can enter a value,
but when I try to exit the form it informs me that I'm
trying to create a duplicate value and won't let me save
the record.
Any ideas on how to get around this?
