filtering based on a value in a cell

Dear All,

I would like to be able to filter a series of values based on the
contents of a cell.
Typically, the values would be integers and if a particular cell shows
an integer, a set of rows are filtered accordingly.

Assuming the values are in a table, you can use an Advanced Filter, as
described here:

Or add a column to the table, and compare the row contents to the target
value. Then, use an AutoFilter and filter that column for true or false.
