Filtering by colour

Hi All,

I had a vb addin at my last company that did this, however I didn't
take or save it anywhere when I left.

I have a spreadsheet which has some coloured rows in it. Is it possible
to have a code that provides a number for the colour that that row is
coloured in?

The code I used before had the ability to show a number if the cell
background was purple or white and so on. I could just then filter the
list by that number.

I'm using Excel XP.
