Filtering timescale dates on resource usage view

I am using the resource usage view (within my resource pool) to view my
percentage allocation of my resource. The timescales at the top start at Nov
08, but I want to start the view from Jun 09. How can I do this?, I have
tried to use the date range filter and looked at one or two filters but they
dont seem to do anything, presumably because I had tasks that started in Nov
08.

Hi ddrjbrown,

Filtering does not remove any data from the timescale, it will
merely hide those assignments which fall out of the date range you
requested, but a user can still scroll the timescale (right side) to
see any date range they wish.

You may get a better understanding of what the Date Range filter
does it you apply it as a highlight filter first to see which
assignments meet the criteria (and would be visible in a regular
filter) and which assignments would be hidden.
