filters how do i keep the display list empty until filter applied

When applying filters how do we sow nothing in the spreadsheet until a filter
is applied. Presently it displays all the data when you first open the
spreadsheet

Possibly hide all sheets except a blank sheet to receive the filter
specification.

If you are trying to exclude information from certain users, Excel is not a
good choice for this. Possibly store your information in a database, then
have excel query that database once the users Identidy is determined.
Still, a lot of this would probably depend on code and the user can usually
disable code.
