Filters in Custom Views

Using PS 2007, we would like to create some custom views that allow users to
see their assignments one, two, and three weeks into the future. After
seeing that My Work views did not allow for filters, I moved on to a Resource
Assignment view. Although users can apply filters on the fly, I do not see a
way to build a filter into a custom view. Am I missing something?

Also, is there any syntax that allows me to build a dynamic “current dateâ€
into a filter?

No you're not missing anything. There is no filter feature built into Res.

It appears that custom filters based around dates can only be compared with
date values and will not make use of values such as [Now] or [Today].

You could easily achieve the reports you desire with Reporting Services
Reports !
