Lon,
I am very interested in what you are doing. I am using ACT4Avdvisors 2.0
after an aborted attempt to uprade the their newest version. I also reverse
migrated my database from ACT 2008 to Act6.0.

I recently converted my ACT! database to BCM to get a feel for it, and so
far I am either not impressed or haven't found how to exploit it. For
instance, I would like to be able to click on the e-mail address and get an
e-mail screen. Don't know if I can or how.

As others have posted here, the contact page uses a lot of space for fields
that are irrelevant to my business. My business is contact centered, and then
then we aggregate groups around the contacts. As you know in our industry we
have record retention requirements and I have been working to make that
process as paperless as possible.

I would also like Outlook to use the address book in BCM. I was also
thinking that is would be a beautiful thing if BDM had a field with the path
to the client's documents folder.

So how do we get a peek at what you are doing?

Thanks Brian!

We'll be glad to do an online demo for you to see what we've done.

Yes, there are irrelevant fields in BCM that we just can't do anything about
for now... sigh...

Yes, you can have Outlook use BCM as its address book. Click on Tools,
Address Book, then Tools, Options in the Address Book dialog. You can set
the dropdowns and list to use BCM first as your primary address book.

Send me an email and we'll get you into a demo to discuss what we've done
with pinpoint FinancialAdvisor.

Thanks,
Lon
