One of the most time consuming tasks in scheduling a meeting is finding an
available conference room in the desired building that is open a specific
time that can accomodate the number of invitees.
A search feature that would allow you to search for a conference room in
building X that can accomodate N people (determined by number of invitees or
can be manually overwritten) from time A to time B on a given date. Eg.
Find a conference room for 12 people from 3-4 PM in building 181.
Building 181 could be a predefined group of resources which includes all
conference rooms in that building. This could be further enhanced by
allowing custom groups of resources definable by individuals.
Also it would be nice to be able to find conference rooms for recurring
meetings and be smart enough to find an alternate if the primary is busy for
a given occurance.
Finally, the search could be flexible enough to support queries such as find
a room in building x or building y for a 1.5 hour meeting between 1 PM and 3
PM for 10 or more people.
