Find and replace JUST in a paragraph, not the entire document

In previous versions of Word, including 2008, if you selected text and
hit cmd-H, you could find and replace text just within that text, not
replace the text in the entire document. I'm not seeing how this is
now possible in Word 2011. If I select text and do Find and Replace,
it invariably finds the instances in the selected text, but replaces
nonetheless throughout the document. This is a problem. Am I missing
something in Word 2011 to change this behavior? Thanks.

David, since no one with Word 2011 has taken a stab at your question
yet (or at least, none that have reached my newsserver), I'll jump
in and ask whether you have ensured that the search parameters in
the Find and Replace dialog box are set to "Current Document Down"
rather than "Current Document All." The former will stop after it
has checked the selected portion of text and ask whether you want
it to check the rest of the document. The latter will do the whole
thing at once. Perhaps the default has changed in 2011??

Turns out it's worse than that. You have to now go to the Advanced
Find and Replace dialog box, which is an extra click or two. That
brings up the previous, longstanding Find and Replace dialogue where,
yes, you can specify Current Document All, Current Document Down, etc.
