Find and Replace querk

I am trying to do a mass find and replace (ctrl+h) on a specified range to
change all. When I hit replace all, not only is the specified range being
changed, but all of the matching cells in my spreadsheet. What is going on?

Most likely because you're clicking Find All first - that shifts the
selection to the first found cell, thereby deselecting the range. When you
then use the Replace All button the entire sheet is involved because the
range is no longer selected. To avoid that go directly to Replace All --
otherwise you'll have to use Find Next for each individual occurence &
Replace as required.

BTW: According to the source of your message & your reference to "Control+H"
it would appear that you're using Excel on a Windows box but you've posted
to the group for Excel on the Mac. They're alike in many respects but there
are also a number of differences -- especially if you're using Excel 2007.
