Find duplicate feature in outlook

The find duplicate feature should be available from Microsoft with outlook.
It happens that the contacts are duplicated at times. This should happen for
notes, tasks, calender also.

That's true, but it would be nice if Outlook could take care of it. I had to
spend like $35 on a program to find all the duplicate contacts my PDA
created. Your defense that they weren't created by Outlook, it's kind of
like saying, "viruses weren't created by Windows, so we're not gonna deal
with them." Windows has some self-repair capabilities; it would be nice if
Outlook could do some of its own self-repair as well.

Duplicates are not created by Outlook but by wrong use of third party
synchronisation tools or imports.

Debateble ;-) Outlook doesn't include sync software out-of-the-box so why
should it include a cure for that out-of-the-box? IMOO finding duplicates
should be included with the sync software.

I know and would give the suggestion to Mivrosoft. But I think this group is
to help users with difficulties or issuesthrough the members in this group.
So I just did that by asking the group. I don't think there's any problem
with that. If you have problems then say it so. This group is outlook general
group. By the way, something for your kind information, when I clicked on the
suggestion, I had reached this page. So tell microsoft about this.

I'm sure, all would prefer finding duplicate within outlook than having with
any sync program. Finally all sync happen through outlook as the
center(mostly). If one is doing that then one need not worry about things.
Not only the duplicates get created through other sync softwares, but also
through outlook itself. If you have the option of put people replied in the
outlook contacts then one's likely to get the contacts doubled. With all the
features it's offering in outlook 2003 I'm sure they'll be able to do it very
well.
