Find emails in Finder using Time Machine?

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: Exchange Hi-

I apologize but I really don't understand Entourage so bear with me. I had to erase and install everything on my Mac. I have many Time Machine backups of my Mac. I reinstalled Entourage 2008 and got it working with Exchange with no problems. What I am missing are the emails that did NOT sit on the Exchange server but rather were on my hard drive. Please tell me where (in my Time Machine backups) are the local emails located so I can drag them to *same* folder on my Mac. Hope this made sense. Thank you in advance for your help. It is truly appreciated.

More info ... Knowing that I would want to import the emails from my hard drive, I did an export before I erased and installed my hard drive. I saved a "database" file. I replaced my new database file with my exported database file hoping that my hard drive emails would magically appear. This did not happen. : ( I tried to import the database to no avail. I just read that you can't import 2008 data into 2008. That seems strange. Typical Microsoft, I guess.

Entourage stores everything in the database file so it's not a simple one
step process to recover an individual item. If you need to restore a single
item from a backup, follow the steps in this article:

Restore single item from backup

I also suggest you read the following:

Backup individual items

Using Time Machine to backup Entourage basics:

It's advised by the developers not to let Time Machine backup your Entourage
database. If the database is copied while being used, the backup could be
corrupt. You can set the Time Machine to exclude the Microsoft User Data
folder and create an iCal event to copy it over at night while not in use so
you get one backup daily in Time Machine.
