That is strange, it should be there. Mind, the file may have a cryptic name
like file1048, view the contents in windows explorer, with the details on and
you should see the extension wav.
The sound file is represented with a loudspeaker icon (when you insert using
Insert - Video and sound - Sound from file), that could be hidden by another
object on the slide, or maybe even been dragged next to the slide in the grey
area. But that won't help you to recover the file.
