How do I find the file name of a song that's already been added to a slide?

If you go to the custom animation task pane the song should be listed.
If you applied the song to the slide transition you will find it next to the
sound list at the bottom of the taskpane.

OK, found it in the Slide Transition, however, the .wav file can't be found
on my drives. This was an e-mail .ppt file. I saved the .ppt from the
e-mail to my c: drive. Nothing is in the folder except the .ppt. Can I
separate that file from the .ppt and save it alone? Maybe it was packed and
I can't see the files because of that?

Weezie,
You could save the presentation as a web page. In the save as dialogue, in
the save as list, choose Webpage (*.htm, *.html). PowerPoint will make a
folder of your presentation with all the files in it, including your
embedded wave file. Take it from there.

Thanks Luc, again. I have only .htm files in the new directory. No .wav I
baffled. I know sometimes, you can embed the sound file in the "back" or
somewhere else on the page that is very obsured. I've tried to Select All,
then view all selections but can't seem to find that .wav file.

That is strange, it should be there. Mind, the file may have a cryptic name
like file1048, view the contents in windows explorer, with the details on and
you should see the extension wav.
The sound file is represented with a loudspeaker icon (when you insert using
Insert - Video and sound - Sound from file), that could be hidden by another
object on the slide, or maybe even been dragged next to the slide in the grey
area. But that won't help you to recover the file.

LUC: It's there, the wav file IS THERE!!!!! Oh Yeah. Boy, it sure doesn't
take much to make me happy....... It turns out there were sooooo many files
to be created in that htm directory that it took a while. It was labeled
sound0001.wav Just like you said. Sweet!!!! nice MVP icon, you've
