I'm probably going to regret admitting that I don't know what "Spinks" means
when he said to look at the the top of the Newsgroup window and Search for:
........ But, I don't know what he means. <g>

In OE, you can go to Edit/Find and search for your name in the From: field
or anything else you can use to identify your questions. I guess that's the
same as what he said but a little more specific.

But, if you are new to Newsgroups, are you familiar with the Watched items?
In case you are not, that is handy for keeping track of a particular thread
(this is a thread or topic). Beside (to the left side of) the thread you
want to follow, you just click directly under the small pair of spectacles
on the top row and it places a pair beside the thread/topic you are
interested in following. Then, go up and click ONE TIME on the pair of
specatcles on the column header. The next time you come into this
Newsgroup, it will sort in the normal way but also with the Watched items on
top. I also have designated that all watched items be a particular color
.... I use red. You do this with Tools/Options/Read and select Highlight
Watched Messages and you choose the color.

So, after I have asked a question, the next time I come into the Newsgroup,
I look for my question (usually I can remember it if it is less than a few
days) and then I put a Watch on it. From then on, it is at the top of the
list, in red, and if there is a Reply, it's BOLD RED.

Forgive me if you already knew all this but newbies are not born with this
knowledge.

Ah, see, I said I would probably regret opening my mouth. I was thinking of
only OE and not any of the other newsgroup readers. I see the Search in
your reader and it's not on mine. Now I see what you were talking about.

Thanks,

Tom
