Finding cell contents based on certain criteria

Hi, I have a problem that I can't quite seem to solve.

I have a table of data, with names across the top in a header row an
different categories as a "header column" (meaning to the left of th
data in the table).

i.e.: (Periods added for spacing)
Category.....Jason..........Nick........Josh.........Bryan . . .
Age..............20.............45..........17.............68
Fav. #..........08.............07..........23.............22
