Finding Contacts Modified on Certain Date

S

SJMP

I am using the Advanced Filter in outlook 2003 to see what contacts where
modified on a certain date.

What is the correct Date Format and procedure for this?

I used

Field:Modified
Condition: On
Value: 3/17/2007 - then I click Add to list.

1 - Is this Date Format Correct?

2 - Just by adding it to list does this apply it. Or do I need to do
anything else?

Thanks,

I want to apply this filter for the entire day of 3/17/2007 - so I am not
sure how to apply the time h:nn AMPM - if this is even applicable.

Thanks,

Hi customer,

Yes, the date format 3/17/2007 is correct. Following is the detail steps
about how to use the Advanced Filter in Outlook 2003 to see the contacts
which were modified on a certain date.

1. Go to the Contacts folder in Outlook 2003.
2. Click the View menu > Arranged By > Current View > Customize Current
View.
3. Click Filter.
4. In the Advanced tab, click the Field button > All Contacts Fields >
Modified. Or just type "Modified" in the area of Field.
5. Choose On in the area of Condition. Type 3/17/2007 in the area of Value.
Click Add to List. Click OK, OK.

Are all the contact items which was modified on 3/17/2007 shown up? To
check the modified date for a contact item, you can open the contact item,
and click the File menu > Properties to view the related information.

By the way, there is another method which can show up the contact items
quickly as you want. Please refer to the following information to see if it
addresses your concern.

1. In the Contacts folder in Outlook 2003, remove the Advanced Filter which
you added. Thus, all contact items are shown in the Contacts folder.
2. Click the View menu > Arranged By > Categories.
3. Right click the column name in the right pane and choose "Filed
Chooser", drag the Modified to the column name.
4. Click the column name - Modified. All the contact items are sorted by
Modified date, you can scroll down to the date - 3/17/2007 to see the
contact items which were modified on 3/17/2007.

If anything is unclear or if you have any other concerns, please don't
hesitate to contact me.
