Finding or creating correct formula

I am attempting to do the following calculation and am unable to get the
correct formula...

If cell e16 = N THEN H16 = G16.

Please help me

Try this in H16
=IF(E16="N",G16,"something else")

In H16 put the formula:

=IF(E16="N",G16,"")
