Finding the combo box

Where is in XL 2007 the combo box and other stuff in the toolbar that this
used to be in
previous XL versions?

On the developer's tab in the Ribbon.

If you don't see it, then
office button|excel options
It's a checkbox in the top section of the Popular category.

They are on the Developer tab, which is not shown by default in XL2007.
Select Office button >> Excel options >> on the Popular tab, check "Show
Developer tab in the Ribbon" >> OK.
