Finding who has a document open

If someone else on the network has a document open and I try to open it from
Windows Explorer, it tells me who has it open. I am using the MVP routine
from http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/MacrosVBA/CheckIfFileOpen.htm
to check if it is open. Is there any way it can be expanded to tell me who
has it open please?

You could write some code in the relevant event which would place the
information in a database or something which could then be interrogated.
