Fire the software architect. Importorting Outlook contacts ...

F

Fwray

remains the zenith of lunatic program design. After years of futzing around
with Outlook, the Import/Export of files from one computer to another remains
a horrid experience. And Microsoft has been told this. I've done the transfer
successfully in the past (I'm now sporting about with Outlook-2003, but not
for long). Why is there always some new aggravation? I'd just about decided
to come back from Thunderbird, and give Outlook another shot. Sorry. Outlook
is still a POS. After all the translators installed, I still couldn't get the
dopey thing to import a CSV-file. Maybe I'll try .POS and see if that works.
This aint rocket science. And you lunies designing Outlook are NOT rocket
scientists. Good Grief.

Nice rant - care to share what happened and perhaps someone here
(peer-to-peer group, not Microsoft) can help, although with that attitude,
it is sure to be a really pleasant experience.

Hmmm - well, I'm pretty sure I'd remember if I'd designed Outlook.

This is a peer support group. If you wish to speak to MS directly, you need
to contact them directly.

If you need help with something, please describe the *exact* problem you are
having, and outline what you've tried already. Your post makes it very
difficult to understand what exactly you are havng problems with.

NB: Post politely and succinctly if you wish for free support in these
newsgroups, and you are sure to get a lot of assistance. Ranting may make
you feel better, but it doesn't help anyone know how to help you - or make
them terribly inclined to do so. ;-)
