firefox browser cannot detect office 2003 on my computer

A

Apple

I used firefox browser but Microsoft.com cannot detect that I have Office
2003 on my computer. So I cannot access the free training courses on its
website. I can only access the pages that tell me to install a trial of
Office 2003. Why?

Another question is, when I used my internet explorer to view the training
courses on Microsoft.com, I cannot download the "Practice" part of its
training classes and I got a message that said there is a problem with
Microsoft server. but when I used the computer in our company, it is Ok to
download the "Practice" part. What happened to my computer?

Thank you very much

Hi Apple,

The MS Website uses ActiveX controls to manage
the downloads. Firefox does not include ActiveX
control in its regular download but there are
3rd party plugins available to support ActiveX in
Firefox, such as this one, but they're not too
highly rated

Firefox also offers an extension (download) that
will allow you to Launch Internet Explorer for
sites such as Office and Windows update that use
ActiveX.
