First and last name in a combo box

Should this be a regular (Select) query or should it be
one of the special ones (Update, Crosstab etc.)? Where
should the query save the results (the full name meaning
first + last name) - in a new table or should I add a
field into my existing table...? Sorry but I am new to
this -
