Fiscal Years and the Timescale

Wondering how to adjust the timescale to handle an October
start in a Fiscal Year. In my organization, our FY begins
October 1 and counts one year ahead of the actual year
(ex. 10/1/03 is the first day of FY04). When I hover over
the timescale it says that today is 10/22/04 instead of
10/22/03. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
thanks :)

Hi Donna,

Welcome to the Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

As Project is not a financial management program, I always advise setting
the financial year to January (Tools/Options.../Calendar tab) for the
majority of the time, and only change it to October to allow a financial
report to be made, reverting back to January afterwards.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on:)
