fix for worksheet limitation

Excel 97

I have a simple worksheet which tracks my daily time to a job number. This
file is suppose to contain 52 worksheets (one created per week).

The Problem: I've reached week 26 and cannot copy/create a new worksheet
beyond 26. The limit is 255. I been looking for obivous setting oversights
but I am out of ideas. Any help is greatly appreciated.

TIA

I run NT w/191MB RAM

rebooted the computer
started excel 97 only
opened my file which is only 214K
tried again to copy the worksheet-clicked create a copy-move to end-
will not copy worksheet

checking memory usage: 112890K / 703020K (assuming used vs. unused)
I think I have enough available memory

Any other ideas?

Hi Tony

Normally, when you cannot add sheets, it is a RAM issue. Do not know the
effect of NT though. Also I don't know a lot about 97. I am sure one of the
other guys will have a solution though!

Hi Kassie,

Thanks again for your response. I think the file was corrupted. I fixed the
problem by saving the file as an earlier version, 95 to be exact and changing
the name. Once I did this, I tested the copy and it worked. I then saved it
back to a 97 format and have had no problems. Fortunately there are no
formatting issues since the formulas contained in the document are straigth
forward and no special formatting was involved.
