You appear to be under the mistaken impression that you're addressing
Microsoft employees. They don't usually read these newsgroups. We're
all users here.
I agree, though, that there appears to be no urgency at MS to replace
the controls that were zapped by the security updates. The KB article
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;886299 was
posted in mid-October, and I hear that the beta testers knew about it
as early as August. Months later, there hasn't been a peep.
