Rather than renaming the DLL use the following:
If using Norton AV in Norton select Options and in the Miscellaneous
section turn off "Enable Office Plug-in".
If using a version of Norton that does not have the option then:
Search for : officeav.dll
If you find it then go to Start/Run and run the following command:
regsvr32 /u "<path>\officeav.dll"
