Fixed Duration?

I've got folks who wish to track time they spend during, say a 2 week
period, when they are communicating with a vendor that has a task in
their court. From what I see of how Fixed Duration works, its best
not to go that route and just have a 0 hour task that you assign
yourself to. Comments?

Projectability

You could set the task type to Fixed Units not Effort driven, this will
allow you to allocate a defined amount of work to each person assigned to
the task and Project will calculate the % allocation for each person without
impacting on the duration - it will then show the assigned work spread
evenly over the duration (flat work contour).
