Fixed size for pictures

Is there any way in Word XP to insert a picture in a pre-defined size/place?
I am creating a template in which one page contains three pictures of 2.2" x
2.2" down the left side of the page with text on the right side. I have
created three autoshapes that are filled in a colour to alert the user that
the picture belongs there with the size shown. However, when pictures are
inserted they are often much bigger/smaller and if they are sized to fit the
autoshape, they are skewed. Any suggestions on a better way to approach
this and still have consistency among all users?

Thanks,

Ricki

There's no way to force Word to import a picture in a fixed size, short of
using a macro. If, however, you draw a FRAME (from the Forms toolbar) or a
table, and set the critical dimension (height or width) to an exact size, when
a picture is inserted in-line with the text (no wrappign allowed!) into that
container, it will adjust proportionally to that dimension.
