fixed work vs fix units

hanni

Hi,

I need to work with 2 main types of projects -

one is fix units and one is fix work.

I made a new view thru the web access and set the Gannt view to be fix
work and yet - when I open it in the proffesional - and when I enter a
new task - it is fixed unit.

what do I need to do in order to have a view with fix work?

Thanks,
Hanni

Hi Hanni,

You haven't said what version of Project you're using or whether
you're using a server. However, views canot be fixed in any sense, it
is the attribute you give to the individual task. You might like to
have a look at my free series for beginners on Microsoft Project in
the TechTrax ezine, particularly #11 on Task Types, at this site:

(Perhaps you'd care to rate the article before leaving the site, :)
Thanks.)
