Fixing the X-axis for a line plot

Lady Excel

Hello,

I am trying to fix the x-axis to make my line plot more usefull. The problem
is that I have data from Dec 3 to 16 and then Jan 16 to 20. So, the middle of
the chart is just a straight line. Is there any way I can split the axis and
have two differnt start and end dates? Please help me, if possible.

The best site for charting question is:

I recommend you to search for your question in this site.
I haven't worked with charts for a while but if I recall correctly, there is
a missing data option where you can ignore those data, which you get rid of
straight line but I don't remember where is it.

Hide the source data (either rows of columns for days with no data), then
setup yur chart to not showing hidden values - when ur source data contain
dates with no data.
Or, change ur x-axis type to text instead of date, or change x-axis to
categories.
