Flagged email changes the to-do date to the wrong date in OL07

Using OL07, I flag an email for follow-up for any day but today and the group
heading in the task to-do bar gets pushed back 1 day.

An example is if today is 1 Apr and I set the follow-up flag to tomorrow,
the task gets entered into the 2 Apr task grouping but the group header date
changes to 1 Apr and now I have 2 groups with a 1 April date. When the flag
is removed, the group header date goes back to 2 Apr.

The same happens to any email that gets flagged for any follow-up other than
the today selection.

Ideas?

New info - this only seems to be happening for messages coming from an IMAP
account. The POP account emails do not cause this issue.

Hello,

I'm having the exact same issue here... Did anyone find a solution?

David,

I've found no solution so far and no one has responded from MS with any
options or suggestions. It's still happening for me so I can't utilize the
flagging of email feature until this is fixed.

It's unlikely that anyone from MS will respond. This is a peer-to-peer
newsgroup, not a Microsoft support channel.

Be patient. Perhaps someone will recognize your problem and answer. If you
don't get a response within, say, a couple of weeks, you can assume no one
could figure out the answer.

I'd answer, but I;ve never seen the issue and can't think off-hand what
might cause it, except for a misconfiguration of your Windows clock or the
Calendar time zone.

Brian,

Sorry, I left off some background info.

In the beginning, I contacted MS with the issue and got nowhere so they sent
me here. I'm not confident that they are working on a fix. I'll wait for
future patches as it's not a major issue but only an annoyance.

Since it's been 3 months since I posted, I don't think we'll see anything
soon as there has been no movement or comments.

I'll keep searching the web to see if it could be related to other issues.

Since it only happens with IMAP mail, I'm suspecting it's in the email
server tags as I have seen issues with OL07 where some meetings get sent in
goofy formats due to a reminder flag being set and the scripts reading the
email don't process it correctly. It's only a theory but there may be
something in the header code that computes the date incorrectly.

Workaround - Drag the email to the task icon on the lower left hand corner.
This opens a task window with the email details and then you can set the due
date (don't use the F/U flag).

I found that using the follow-up flag is what causes the dates to change.
Only use the due date and the dates show correctly in your lists.
