I need a flash drive without a partition. The library computer will not read
the Ativa Flash because of partition. It will read a friend's Pretec Flash
but it was purchased long ago and I don't know if they make Flash drives
without the partition.
Please give some suggestions.

i thought windows could
format the usb drives.

have you tried plugging
into your system then
right clicking on it in
explorer and select format?

just a thought, can't remember
if the above actually works.

How can users right-click to format the flash drive device if Windows Vista
will never recognize it?

I've tried brand new USB flash drives from 128MB to 4GB. Vista won't
recognize ANY of them. I'm sick of it.

Hi, this isn't a Vista group, this is an Office applications group.
Office applications can't format or initialize any storage media
whatsoever. Perhaps you will post the issue you have with your Operating
system configuration in the Vista group where your problem will have a
solution?
