I have a couple of documents in Word 2003 on WinXP SP1
where the document headers and footers 'flash' - that is
the jump wider-narrower-wider-narrower continuously. Not
only does the onscreen text 'jump' but the right hand
margin and table within the header/footer used for
formatting the text layout within each. This happens only
on the right-hand margin. The left is fine.
Attempts to define table widths - through the Table
Properties only as it's not possible to grab the right
hand margin from the ruler as it is busily jumping left
and then right - fail.
I can't see a Word upgrade to fix this. The document seems
to print okay but it's difficult to work with the document
with the header 'flashing' (jumping left and right) like
this.
Thanks.../Iain
