FMPrint - getting it to work in any other format than vsd

I'm using Visio 2007. I've added a printer smart tag (FMPrint) to a
floorplan to accommodate easier printer installation. I've imported the
drawing to SharePoint. I've set the protection on the drawing to prevent
update.

The FMPrint functionality works fine for anyone who has Visio on their
workstation but not for someone who doesn't.

I've tried saving the drawing as a web page and all of the formats on the
'save as type:' drop down (including PDF and XPS). In all cases the printer
shape appears on the drawing but the FMPrint functionality doesn't work.

Can anyone suggest how I could maintain the FMPrint functionality in another
format other than Visio?

Thank you for any response.

FMprint is a visio add-in that comes with Visio, it's embedded functionality
in the product. The obvious alternative is to write something similar that
doesn't use Visio. The functionality appears to be WMI based so you might be
able to do it with scripting and visio viewer/web based.
