Fog announcement on power point

Hello everyone

I am trying to figure out how to make a fogged section appear at the
bottom (or middle or top for that matter) of a power point slide and
then type in text. I say fogged, because I'd like it to be transparent
to some degree (or to whatever degree I'd like).

Does anyone know how to do this?

TX for any help

You can create a rounded rectangle and assign a fill color with a transparency
of 70% or so. Also give it "no line" and it will look like a foggy cloud. Then
just type your text and it will appear over the cloud. Is that what you had in
mind?

I think so. I would want the box to just go all the way across the
screen. I'll mess around with that for now and see if I can get it!

I was wondering if you also know how to do a countdown clock in power
point? It's for our church and we'd want in the bottom right hand
corner:

8:46 till service--and then it woudl obviously do a real time
countdown..

thanks!
