Folder list problems

All of the sudden this morning, the Folder list in Outlook appears to have
started malfunctioning. It is indicating there are items in my "Deleted
Items" folder but it is empty and it is indicating there are unread items in
my "Inbox" and there are none. Any ideas what is causing this problem and
how I can fix it?

Hi Bob,

you are using Outlook without an Exchange server?

Then you could try to repair your PST file with "scanpst.exe"

I am using Outlook with an Exchange server.

I ran the Scanpst..exe app as recommended and errors were found in my pst
folder on my local drive but it didn't fix the problem. The folder list is
still not functioning properly. It is still showing incorrect quantities of
documents in folders - sometimes too many and sometimes none when there are
some. Any other suggestions?
