Folder List View in Outlook Bar

One of our user's changed his view and does not
remember what he did.

He uses the Outlook Shortcut bar and says that he
used to be able to see the sub-folders under the
Inbox from there.

I showed him how to change his view to select folder
list, but he says that he used to be able to see the
sub-folders in his Outlook Shortcut bar.

I can't for the life of me figure out how to do this.

Can someone please help?
