Font automatically changes to Asian font

Every time I start typing a message in Word, Outlook, or any other Office
program my font changes automatically from Arial or Times New Roman
(whichever I choose) to PMingLiU or another Asian font. How can I stop this
from happening?

I have same problems here. It even won't read texts written in Times Ne
Roman fonts. Also, I actually re-installed the OS and office 2007, an
it won't read the old files which was ok before the re-installation.

Andy, please let me know if you have fixed it

Open Control Panel and go to the Regional and Language Options. The
keyboard input is probably set to Japanese.
