Font Disappears

I am using XP Pro, and an installed font disappears from
Windows each time the computer is switched off. I
installed the font in the Control Panel, in a specific
User Profile, and was able to use it properly. However, by
the next day, after a reboot, it was gone. I repeated the
process, installing the font in the Control Panel and used
it successfully. However, the next day, it was gone again.
What makes this happen?

Just guessing here, but Fonts are system things - install it as an
admin and it should work ok.
