font in c:/windows/font folder but not in Word fonts why?

reviewed all the information posted -- lots of similar questions, but no
answers provided. Used the instructions provided by Microsoft to install new
font but it always reads "no new font" so cannot install

If the default printer doesn't support it the font won't appear.
