font in message draft changes in Outlook XP?

Hi folks,

There's a weird Outlook XP problem I've been seeing, and I want to know if
anyone here's run into it.

I'm running Windows XP Pro with Outlook XP SP2, and occasionally, I'll see
this weird behaviour. When I compose a message in Outlook, I'll be typing
away. All of a sudden, activity on the computer will freeze for a fraction
of a second, and Outlook will save the message in the Drafts folder as it's
supposed to. The only problem is, all the text in my draft message will
change from Arial font to Times New Roman font!! Same size--10 points. I
don't have anything particularly special happening on my computer regarding
fonts, nor do I have anything else going on that I can think of that would
explain this behaviour in Outlook. Also, it doesn't seem to happen ALL the
time--seems to happen more or less randomly.

Any ideas? After the font change, I can always change it back, but it's
finally gotten annoying enough to ask about it.

Thanks!
Dave K.

I would check out my power supply and the power coming out of your outlet.
Also might check your RAM. Switch it with another machine if you have one.

I don't believe it's a power issue. The power supply is relatively new, and
is a 400W Superflower. The problem was occurring before the power supply
switch. Also I have new RAM, which came in after the problem started as
well.

Power problems probably wouldn't cause this type of applicational behaviour.
To me, it's obviously some kind of font bug with either Windows or Outlook;
I'm not sure which, or what the exact nature of the bug is.
