font is red & underlined

Everything I type is now red & underlined and there is a
line that runs down the left margin of the page. Can not
get rid of it. Format font to black does nothing.
Underline is not turned on.
Help me please.

Hi, Roger,

You have Track Changes turned on. (Look it up in the Help.)

First turn off Track Changes on the Tools menu. That will prevent any more
text from turning red.

Then click the Accept Change button on the reviewing toolbar for each change
you want to keep (or click the down arrow and select Accept All Changes).
