Font problem

My default font has changed and, when select Times New Roman, it
appears as Times New Roman Italic until I highlight and change it. I
am, in other words, unable to select Times New Roman in my drop down
menus without my selection appearing as Times New Roman italic.

Any suggestions?

Go to ~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft and delete the Office font cache
for Office in there.
It should be properly rebuilt the next time you launch Word.
