Font-size changes in HTML Email

Hi all,

We have a corporate Intranet in which HTML css-based email
notifications get sent out on a regular basis.

Our problem is that whenever anyone replies to or forwards one of
these notifications (using Outlook 2003), the reply is in the same
font and color as the message but the font-size is considerably
bigger. Is there a setting we can change in Outlook to keep the
font-size the same as the original message? Or is there something our
developers can change in the stylesheet?

We have tried Tools --> Options --> Mail Format --> Fonts with no
success.

Any help would be appreciated!

i'm having the same exact problem. all replies or forwards to our HTML
newsletter always have the same font and color (verdana, black) but they're
always larger (12pt) as opposed to the original 11pt or 10pt. it's driving
our client crazy everytime he decides to forward the HTML email.

is there something we can put in the header of the email or the stylesheet
that will make the original font be retained?? i've noticed the problem with
about 50% of HTML formatted emails that i receive. the other 50% seem to
have solved it, but i don't know what they're doing!

can anyone help here?

thanks!

i have the same problem that is driving our client crazy. we send out
HTML email notifications and whenever they forward or reply to one,
the reply is 12pt instead of 10pt. stays the same font and color
(verdana and black), but it's always larger.

this happens for about 1/2 of the HTML emails that i receive from
other companies. for the other 1/2, this doesn't seem to happen.
there must be something we can put in the header of the email that
will prevent the enlargement, but i can't figure out what it is.

anyone have any good ideas? thanks!

I have the same problem on two of our network workstations, but not on
others. Each time an email is replied to or forwarded the font size
increases exponentially! When printing you end up with about two words
fitting on the last page! I have tried everything short of hurling the pc
through the window.
